A Fresh Spring Brunch

I love the look of this fresh + clean backyard Spring brunch!

Styled by Melissa of The Lovliest Day, this brunch is full of ideas for you to re-create!

I love how Melissa used fallen eucalyptus branches from around her neighborhood to
create the simple garland and wreath that adorned the table.

The table runner was simply made from a piece of cheese cloth cut to fit the length
of the table, then tied off at the ends with some twine.

The favors were mini cheddar cheese wheels purchased from Trader Joe's and tied up into a pretty little cheesecloth pouch, secured with twine and a sprig of fresh lavender. So fresh!

The menu consisted of something simple yet delicious; a selection of artisan cheeses
with an assortment of breads, crackers, and fresh fruit. That was paired with some lavender lemonade spiked with a little citrus vodka! (recipe is on Melissa's blog)

Lemons, daffodilles, creamy white vases, and a unique modern square cake change up
this second table into a pure springtime dream!

Disney on Ice Charity Event at the Castle at Ashley Manor

I am so incredibly moved by the Disney on Ice Charity Event for children at

I found the original post on Laura Winslow's blog, who is also the photographer that
captured these amazing images.

Kim of The TomKat Studio styled the dessert table, and Laura Winslow who photographed the event, teamed up along side several other talented vendors to help make dreams come true for children affiliated with March of Dimes and HopeKids.

It truly cannot help but touch your heart, and move you to action to see what a difference you can make in the life of a child by using your God given gifts and talents.

Please see Laura's blog for the whole story, lots more darling images of the event and names and links to all the vendors who collaborated on this event.

Beautiful job ladies!

P. S. I would be honored to participate in an event like this.

Beatrix Potter Easter Styled Photo Shoot

I'm just swooning over this Beatrix Potter Easter Styled Photo Shoot!
For those that don't know, I have collected Beatrix Potter items for years...I've added to my collection each time I've travelled and have treasures all the way from England. I decorated my daughter's original nursery in a Beatrix Potter, shabby-chic, garden sort of theme.

So you can imagine how I tell in love with the tablescape!

Styled by Lilian of Lily Chic Events, and featured on Amy Atlas's blog, it's the perfect inspiration before Easter. Based on Mrs. Potter's garden, the theme is carried out through details like gingham-style gelato colored ribbons, pastel green bench, floating blue glass plates, and floral-styled cushions. Lilian also had small terracotta pots filled with Easter Eggs and mini milk jars with jelly beans at every place setting. Sweet Easter treats included a beautiful pastel dotted cake, vegetable garden cupcakes, and garden vegetable cookies.

Head over to Amy Atlas' blog to see the entire photo shoot, read more about all the details and see the links and credit to all the fabulous vendors who participated in this shoot.
