Project Nursery Event @ Pottery Barn Kids

I love this event/class that Becca with Project Nursery hosted at Pottery Barn Kids.
The focus was on Easter decorating and entertaining, with so many simple DIY ideas to add to your party! I wish we would have been able to attend!!

I love the centerpiece "garden" which was created as a quick and easy DIY project using some craft wood pieces, a foam block, shredded paper, faux florals and decorated cookies. The cookies then served as favors! Totally cute and edible!

The cake was purchased at the local Target bakery as shown below ~

Becca added some adorable fondant shapes and some decorated sugar cookies and voila!

Another darling element in keeping with the Easter / Garden theme were these adorable "potted cupcakes". How to: take miniature terracotta flower pots lined with foil, pop in a cupcake, frost, sprinkle with crushed oreos, insert decorative paper straw, top with faux floral or mini decorated sugar cookies.

Oh my goodness, using your daughter's side table out of her bedroom for a kid-sized
beverage station is a fantastic idea!

And the best part? Guests were given a sheet of Easter printables designed especially for Pottery Barn Kids and Project Nursery by Fresh Chick Design Studio...which you can have too by clicking HERE.

Swanky Vintage Baby Photo Shoot

Sometimes worlds collide and I find a styled photo shoot that combines everything that I love, and in this case when Swanky Baby Vintage met Sugarsticks Parties it was the perfect combination! It brought darling girl's clothes, photo shoots, party planning and a styled tablescape all together with a vintage vibe. It couldn't get much better in my opinion!!

And since my daughter does boutique modeling, maybe someday, she will get to be in a
photo shoot for Swanky Vintage Baby!? :)

A Pottery Barn Kids Easter

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love Pottery Barn Kids...and I mean LOVE.

Here is a sampling of the darling pastel Easter decor found at Pottery Barn Kids.
One of the things I love so much is that so many of their items can be monogrammed
and personalized.

It's truly my favorite store for decorating inspiration around my home.

Blues and Branches: A Spring Tablescape

Kate with Centsational Girl set this beautiful blue and white table, complete with branches, butterflies, and some feathery friends for her family's Easter brunch.

Kate created this tablescape design with inexpensive elements and shares her tips and tricks with you on her blog! I love to read blogs of other party stylists that create and find inexpensive and DIY ways to add the perfect touch to their party decor, I get so inspired.

Read on to see some of my favorite tips from Kate!

I love how Kate created little nests by cutting grapevine balls in half, and filled them with Jordan almond "eggs" found in any craft store! Genius!

How cute are these little egg baskets?!? They were totally free!

Kate simply spray painted some plain plastic strawberry baskets she picked up from
the farmer's market with the some leftover paint. Then she wove a 5/8 teal ribbon
through them and added some shredded cardstock to form the bedding.
Add some chocolate eggs and you have yourself a darling Easter basket!

Between all her creative decorating ideas to save money, and treasures found at thrift
stores, Kate has set the most beautiful table on a dime. Congratulations!!
