{REAL PARTY} A Vintage Baby Shower

I saw this darling concept for a backyard baby shower on Divine Party Concepts ~ and it has so many cute vintage elements! The original party was held in honor of Jen & Ken so I hopped right over to their blog to read more about the details!

Some of the design elements include vintage blankets and linens out on the grass for lounging, picnic tables, chalkboard menus, homemade cupcakes, milkglass jars with beautiful wildflowers, old baby pictures, lots of snacks, thrift store glassware, and fun games.

My favorite element though is the clothes line that hung some of the mommy~t0~be's baby clothes and dresses. What a unique and personal touch to add to your baby shower!

I love this idea!

{REAL WEDDING} The Cutest DIY California Wedding Ever

I have been waiting for this wedding to show up on The Wedding Chicks! You'll remember that I posted Rochelle & Bobby's vintage engagement shoot that was inspired by their Love of Kids.

Well I could hardly wait for the wedding to be published and I was not disappointed. Their wedding appeared on The Wedding Chicks, and the theme of their love of children was carried throughout their DIY wedding decor that was styled and photographed by Wildflowers Photography. Wow.

I am going to quote directly from The Wedding Chicks blog because their description about this wedding is just so sweet, "Rochelle and Bobby wanted their wedding to be fun, creative, personal, handmade, inexpensive and a theme based upon all things childlike. They also firmly believed that it should e a day celebrating their love for God and their childlike joy in waiting on His timing in bringing the two of them together."

What a beautiful love story! I have enjoyed "meeting" Rochelle & Bobby through their personalities reflected in the way they celebrate their most special days and the way they honor God through it all. I wish them a long, wonderful and joy filled life together!

This truly is one of the cutest DIY California weddings ever!

From Wildflowers Photography on the creative touches of the day:
Pinwheels made out of children's book pages, paper chains, painted cardboard clouds, quilts hanging as backdrops, hundreds of old time candies, paper flowers, chalkboard artwork, cupcakes topped with fruit loops, gummy worms and sprinkles, a dinner catered by an In & Out truck, a cotton candy machine, multicolored paper crowns, handmade boutonnieres with colored kites, paper "leaves" cut from an old Cinderella storybook, lollipops, 20 pairs of converse sneakers and one fantastic handmade swing.

As always, please see the original source on The Wedding Chicks for credit and links to all the talented vendors who participated on this event.

{REAL PARTY} Pink Puppy Party!

Get ready for some serious DOG-ON cuteness!!

I am an avid animal lover. Confession time... I do consider my animals members of my family, and treat them like furry children. There, I've said it, it's out there. =)

I found this darling doggy soiree on one of my favorite reads, The Sweetest Occasion, and it was originally planned by and featured on Sitting in a Tree Events.

From the sweet doggie treats, to the old familiar games of fetch and frisbee, this is any doggie's dream birthday celebration!

{REAL PARTY} Croquet Bridal Shower

Seriously...this is one of the cutest and most innovative ideas I've seen for a bridal shower ~
a picnic and a game of croquet! This fun boho chic bridal shower was featured on The Ruffled Blog and photographed by Corinne of What a Day! Photography.

I love finding parties that step outside the box, and seeing events styled in a fresh new way. This darling shower has a chic laid back vibe, and definitely an idea for the inspiration file!
