{Real Wedding} Charming South Carolina

The simplicity and style of this Charleston, South Carolina wedding are so well put together, they almost seem effortless. This wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty, but I headed over to Simply Bloom Photography to see all the gorgeous images and read the behind the scenes details and specifics about how this well styled wedding came together!

{Real Party} Pat the Bunny Baby Shower

You all know I am a sap for children's parties based on classic children's books.

This simple and sweet baby shower I spotted on Half Baked was created by Whitney Smith, a photographer with a chic sense of style, who created the theme based on the beloved "touch and feel" story of Pat the Bunny.

A soft pink color scheme creates the perfect setting for all the charming bunny details; note the teeny tiny "real" fuzzy tail on the water bottles, and the "mommy rings" donuts for dessert!

Every once in a while a party theme evokes a nostalgic emotion as much as just being beautiful; and honestly this one makes me feel warm and fuzzy. =)

{Real Wedding} Vintage Turquoise and Gold

Pictured below is a fabulous vintage/handmade tablescape featured on
Hostess with the Mostess. The creative details in this tablescape are truly inspiring.
Although this was created for a wedding, it would be a great color palette for a bridal shower, baby shower or birthday luncheon!

Red, White & Blueberry Desserts

Memorial Day is the day we stop to remember all of the men and woman who have served,
and are still serving in our armed forces, our surviving veterans, and to honor those that
have lost their lives fighting for our country. While we should be reminded daily to pray
for our armed forces, the families, our country and it's leadership, I'm thankful
that there is one day that makes us pause, and is a significant reminder of all the sacrifices
that have been made for our freedoms.

With that said, Memorial Day has traditionally become a patriotic holiday when family and friends gather together to celebrate and remember; and whenever there is a reason to come together and celebrate, there is a reason to entertain! Whether you are joining family and friends for a backyard bbq, attending a block party, having a picnic, or hosting a beach party, here are some last minute patriotic red, white & blueberry desserts compliments of Martha Stewart that are sure to wow your guests! God bless your holiday and God bless America!

{Real Party} Inspired by Kait Emerson Designs

This {Real Party} was submitted by my friend, Rebekah with A Blissful Nest.

When Rebekah contacted me and sent me the link to this adorable party that she planned I was so thrilled as it combines 2 of my favorite things...my love of an adorable DIY 1st birthday party and my love for Kait Emerson Designs!

As you know by now, my daughter models for Kait Emerson Designs, and what a fun surprise to see that Rebekah planned Parker's birthday party decor around the color scheme in this adorable dress. All it takes is to find your inspiration to make magic with a party theme!

The color palette was pink and orange, with hints of teal and a grass green. It was a signature party so everything was initialized with "Parker", "P" or "1".

Here is the adorable birthday girl, Parker in her Kait Emerson Designs birthday dress?!

Rebekah made DIY door wreaths to greet the guests as they arrived.

A beautiful table with guest favors featured "to go" boxes filled with personalized hershey kisses and adorned with DIY mini tissue poms on top.

They made decoupage letter to spell out Parker's name

Rebekah kept the dessert table simple with cupcakes, rock candy, chocolate covered
pretzels, powdered sugar lemon cookies, assorted fruits with assorted fruits with caramel, chocolate and peanut butter dips.

The cherry blossom tree in the back yard served as the perfect place to do a "months of Parker" tribute. The photos from each month were blown up in black and white and mounted onto black heavy card stock. A hold was punched in the top and they were hung from the branches in coordinating ribbons.

There are so many special touches and details that I haven't even mentioned, so head
over to A Blissful Nest to see the entire post, DIY tutorials and all the photos of the party!

Thank you for sharing Rebekah - well done!!
