{Real Party} Dr. Seuss's ABC Inspired Birthday Party

Why not toss in another character~inspired birthday party from my inspiration files! This Dr. Seuss party was planned by Courtney of Nesting Instincts for her son's first birthday. It was featured on one of my favorite party blogs, Birthday Girl.

I love the idea of doing the bunting out of scrapbook paper ~ instead of fabric!

{Real Party} "Olivia the Pig" Theme Party

This {Real Party} by Jaclyne of Heavenly Blooms and featured on Hostess with the Mostess is a darling example of how character~inspired kid's parties can be super cute for the kids while still stylish enough for the adults to appreciate too!

One of the things that we laugh about here in my home is that Olivia's mom is a party planner!

Anyway, I LOVE the feather boa hanging wreath, so easy and an inexpensive way to add

wow to a party!

And oh my goodness there is a lot of great, budget friendly ideas that could be incorporated into any theme!

Another creative touch is the cut out of Olivia. Jaclyne enlarged and printed the picture,

pasted it on foam core, then cut it out with an exacto~knife. For the finishing touch, she

added her trademark red ribbon bows!

I love the printed coloring pages and paper dolls off the Olivia website ~ great idea!

Jaclyne also purchased heart frames, turned them into mini chalkboards and had the girls decorate them with glittery stickers.

{Real Party} The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid is a great children's theme party and this one was planned

by Fantasy Celebrations. You'll have to head over to their site to see all the other

great children's fantasy parties they plan!

{Real Party} Shabby Chic Baby Shower

Oh my goodness, this Shabby Chic Baby Shower created/hosted by Kristeen from Kristeen LaBrot Events was featured on Hostess with the Mostess and is a buffet of eye candy!

From the fabulous color palette and whimsical floral designs to the pretty milk glass vases and creative fabric decor, this party is stunning, and full of great inspiration for everything from spring/summer baby and bridal showers, to girlie birthday parties!

Per the hostess, the shower's theme was "whimsy chic" and featured shades of pink with apple green accents and lots of vintage milk glasses.

Oh I'm in love already!

Pink Champagne Lamour linens and Apple Green Lamour napkins, along with a custom

runner made with bunny damask print by Tula Pink was used for the tablescapes.

Cut pieces of fabric hung from the guest of honor's chair and were secured with a peony. Vintage fabric pennants hung from the fence.

The favors were baby block shaped cake pops and were displayed on top of the napkins

at each place setting.

The manzanita tree was decorated with ruffle balls and hanging pink baby rattles

~ darling idea!!
