Farm Inspired Fall Wedding Shoot

Oh I know you are going to love this next feature ~ a Farm Inspired Wedding Shoot. It's
a complete study in all things gorgeous...from the fashion to the detailing, every little bit of
this shoot is perfection! Now I know it's only first day of September, a little early to be falling into fall, but this time of year is always so exciting because I love everything about what the next 3 months represent!

This shoot has subtle details that capture that homegrown, warm, rustic vibe while remaining completely elegant. The details, including lace overlays (which would add texture and charm on top of standard white linens), flea market style mismatched glassware, the lacy babies breath, homemade pies and the glamour wedding gown create the perfect cozy vibe.

It was originally featured on Style Me Pretty and was photography credit goes to
Henry & Masci Photography. You can see more of this amazing shoot, and there are a lot more photos and details directly on Henry & Masci's blog. Also you will find credit and a link to all the talented designers that collaborated on this shoot.

Pancake Breakfast at Sunset Theme

This beautiful inspired Breakfast at Sunset theme photo shoot featured on
Green Wedding Shoes was based around the theme of the bride & groom's first date...
which was over a meal of pancakes.

Jen with Green Wedding Shoes, along with Lauryl and Esther of My Bride Story, styled the perfect setting for this photo shoot. Surrounded by vintage details, this shoot was created on the rooftop of a penthouse overlooking LA!

I think my favorite element to this shoot is the pancake bar. Monogrammed pancakes were stacked, and different types of syrup for drizzling, along with fresh fruit toppings, were lined up for the guests to embellish their pancakes.

There are so many creative and personalized details, and a lot more pictures to enjoy from this shoot - so be sure to head over to Green Wedding Shoes to see the entire story unfold.

Inspired by Cherries

My friend Tori at Thoughtfully Simple truly designs some of the most amazing theme parties, she is so creative and always so inspiring ~ and this cherry themed party does not disappoint!

To create the red & aqua tablescape, she paired vintage inspired cherry invitations,
cherry tea towels to use as decor and/or a hostess gift, cherry mojitos, red dot luncheon napkins and pale blue 10" plates.

With cherries as the main inspiration for the menu, look for salad recipes that
incorporated cherries (like this cherry-arugula salad). For the dessert try chocolate
cherry mouse shots, mini cherry pies, cherry vanilla cupcakes and chocolate cherry cakes.
You can also pick some coordinate fabric (like this aqua dot) and make simple runners for
your dessert table, drink areas and even the main table.

For refreshments, try cherry lemonade to keep guests cool. For favors, send guests home
with a bag of fresh cherries that they can enjoy later; and tie the bags closed with these adorable cherry tags. And the cherry on top?? The darling cherry thank you cards!

Be sure to check out Thoughtfully Simple's blog to get all the recipes to the cherry inspired
food listed above, and links to where to get a hold of the darling cherry decor!

Make Your Own S'mores Bar w/ FREE DIY Printables!

I found this incredibly mouthwatering "make your own s'mores bar" on
The Birthday Girl's blog, and ever since then, truth be told, I can't stop thinking about the idea of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup snuggled up to the marshmallow inside the graham sandwich.

For this presentation, Michelle from So Wonderful, So Marvelous, used a variety of spices, including nutmeg & sea salt, assorted grahams, assorted chocolates including an amazing hazelnut bar, toppings like toasted coconut, and fruits.

Be sure to stop by So Wonderful, So Marvelous for a downloadable s'mores recipe menu ~ suitable for framing, and ingredient signs to customize to your own s'mores bar!

I love how easy it is and it can be prepped ahead of time. We are definitely going to be trying out some of these s'mores variations in the next few weeks while we're enjoying some summer outdoor time together!

Dreamy Creamsicle Cocktails

I loved creamsicles as a kid...they were absolutely my favorite. Mix up a batch of these and bring your inner child out or make a non-alcoholic pitcher for the whole family.

This is the Adult version (with alcohol):

Fill a mixing cup 1/2 up with ice

  • 1/2 oz. Vodka or Orange Vodka
  • 1/2 oz. Triple Sec
  • 1 oz. Orange Juice
  • 1 oz. Cream

Shake all ingredients well and pour into a highball glass. Use a scoop of vanilla ice cream instead of cream & ice, and you've a dreamy creamsicle. De-lic-ious!

This is non-alcoholic version (Dreamy Tropical Cream Fizz):

  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 cups tropical juice blend
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 12 to 14 ice cubes
  • 1 pint coconut ice cream, coconut sorbet or vanilla ice cream

In a blender, place coconut. Cover; process until coconut is in small pieces. Place coconut in shallow dish. Dip rims of six 12-oz stemmed glasses into water, then dip into coconut to coat. Chill glasses in freezer at least 1 hour before serving.

In blender, place tropical juice blend, sugar, lime juice and ice cubes. Cover; blend on high speed about 45 seconds or until smooth. Pour mixture into glasses.

Pour 1/4 cup club soda into juice mixture in each glass. Add 1 large scoop ice cream to each glass. Garnish with remaining coconut if desired.
